I am a graduate student at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, where I am building the quantitative side of a background in international affairs.
My research interests center on global conflict, particularly in the Middle East and China, and on gray zone operations: the space between peace and open war where states compete through coercion, infrastructure, and economic leverage rather than direct force.
That interest has increasingly pulled me toward energy. Pipelines, LNG terminals, and long-horizon infrastructure deals are where geopolitical strategy becomes concrete and financeable, and they are rarely decided on commercial merit alone. I have spent the past two years working on that intersection, from business development at a US energy developer to commercial strategy at an LNG engineering firm in Seoul.
I use my MPP to sharpen the analytical toolkit behind that work, with a focus on statistical methods in R and spatial analysis in ArcGIS.

Harmful Algal Blooms Research

Comparative case study of institutional responses to harmful algal bloom events in Japan, the United States, Australia, and Norway. Reviewed more than twenty journal articles to trace the governance history of HABs. Co-authored the resulting paper, published in Sustainability.
Sustainable Megaregion Project

Designed a literature database covering twenty-five journal articles and presented on Complex Adaptive Systems to the wider research group. Used ArcGIS to plot megaregion boundaries against indicators including light pollution.
Model NATO

Built and ran a research and analytical training program for a thirty-member delegation. Led the team to first place at the International Model NATO Conference in Washington, DC for two consecutive years, and co-authored six papers on military operations, counterterrorism, and threats to European and North American security.
